Michigan football received a verbal commitment from Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair High School running back Sam McGuffie on Sunday.
McGuddie chose Michigan over Texas A&M and is rated as Rivals.com’s No.1 all-purpose running back.
“The coaches there recruited me (hard), especially coach (Fred) Jackson, the running backs coach,” McGuffie told local reporters. “They told me that if I go there that we’ll be a team to be reckoned with.”
