Michigan basketball player K’Len Morris has been granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA via medical redshirt, the school said Thursday.
This was expected because Morris, heading into his second season, suffered a dislocated left shoulder in practice early last season and missed the remainder of it.
Morris, a 6-foot-4 wing, was hurt after he went up for a dunk in practice and collided with reserve forward AnthonyWright . It has been surgically repaired.
His eligibility as a player will expire after the 2010-11 season.
