U-M adds basketball assistant coach
The Michigan basketball program announced Wednesday the addition of former West Virginia director of basketball operations John Mahoney to coach John Beilein’s staff.
Mahoney will serve as an assistant coach along with Mike Jackson, formerly under Tommy Amaker, and Jerry Dunn, a former Penn State coach and Beilein assistant for the Mountaineers.
“I’m elated John has joined the Wolverine program and coaching staff,” Beilein said in a statement released by the school. “Spending the last two years with him, I have been impressed with his quality of work, enthusiasm and drive to succeed.”
