Joel Zumaya’s timetable is changing - unfortunately for the Tigers.

The Tigers reliever said before Saturday’s game that he may not return until September.

“I was expecting to be back in August but I’ll probably be back in September,” Zumaya said. “I’ll give it the extra caution if I can get a better feel for my finger… I know they’re trying to see how fast I can get back and be healthy. But I have a second opinion too and leaving me out for the extra month of August just so I can say I’m really ready now.”
