Tigers sign five to minor-league contracts

The Detroit Tigers have signed five players to minor-league contracts for the 2008 season.

Signed were right-handed pitchers Preston Larrison, Aquilino Lopez and Gabe Benitez, catcher Nick Trzesniak and infielder Erick Almonte.
