Tigers’ Rogers has shoulder surgery, out for at least three months
Left-hander Kenny Rogers has been lost to the Tigers for at least three months because of surgery on his left shoulder.
Rogers underwent a successful procedure on Friday morning at Baylor University in Dallas to remove a blood clot and repair the axillary and brachial arteries in his left shoulder.
Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said that Rogers is expected to start throwing in 6-8 weeks but that he doesn’t expect him back with the team “before July.”
