Tigers place Vance Wilson on the disabled list
While waiting for the test results on pitcher Kenny Rogers, the Tigers on Friday were confronted with another injury situation.
Catcher Vance Wilson went on the 15-day disabled list effective immediately because of a sore right elbow. To replace him on the 25-man roster, they recalled catcher Mike Rabelo.
The exact cause of the soreness isn’t yet known but it’s clearly bothering the usually talkative Wilson.
“I’m so frustrated, I really don’t want to talk about it,” Wilson said. “I don’t know what to think.”
