Tigers’ Jones on disabled list; Rapada recalled

Right-handed reliever Todd Jones was placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation prior to this afternoon’s game here, and left-handed relief pitcher Clay Rapada was recalled from Toledo.
Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland said Rapada will be back with the Mud Hens on Friday, when right-handed reliever Kyle Farnsworth joins the team for a three-game series against Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, Fla.
