Tigers starter Armando Galarraga has had a stellar rookie campaign, entering Friday’s contest against Minnesota with a 12-4 record and a 3.17 ERA. The only team that has been a consistent thorn in his side has been the pesky Twins.
Justin Morneau made sure Galarraga’s struggles against the Twins continued, hitting a grand slam over the right field baggie in the fifth inning off the right-hander, propelling the Twins to an easy 10-2 victory. Galarraga is now 0-4 against Minnesota and 12-1 against the rest of the league.
