Jeremy Bonderman didn’t need to be sharp in his return. The Detroit Tigers’ offense made sure of it.

The right-hander gave up four hits in eight innnings in his first game back from the disabled list Thursday, and Carlos Guillen homered twice and drove in five runs to help the Tigers rout the Los Angeles Angels 12-0.

Magglio Ordonez had four hits and three RBI to take over the major league lead with 45, two more than the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez. Gary Sheffield added a solo home run in the third as Detroit won for the fifth time in six games.
