Tigers 0, Diamondbacks 4 (5/18/08)
Randy Johnson’s only shutout of the Tigers came when he no-hit them in 1990. Nearly a full career and 18 years later, only his age and his pitch count kept him from shutting them out again.
While Johnson kept Detroit’s bats slumbering for seven innings, Miguel Montero’s two-run single broke up Nate Robertson’s end of the pitching duel, sending the Tigers on their way to a 4-0 loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon at Chase Field.
It marked the Tigers’ seventh shutout in 44 games this season.
