Yet, to this point, Cooperstown enshrinement has eluded Jack Morris and Alan Trammell, both of whom were named Monday to the 2007 Hall of Fame ballot.
It’s a bittersweet tribute to the former Tigers teammates: They have received enough votes from the Baseball Writers Association of America to remain on the ballot, but have remained short of the 75% necessary for entry to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
