Not much has changed for the Tigers’ top prospects at Triple-A Toledo. And that’s bad news for Brent Clevlen.
The seemingly ready-for-the-majors Clevlen has had a miserable time through the Mud Hens’ first month, striking out 33 times in 23 games. He is batting only .200 with no homers and seven RBIs.
Getting a better feel for the strike zone loomed as Clevlen’s major mission heading into 2007. But, at least through the first four weeks, Clevlen, who hit .282 with three homers in 31 games with the Tigers last season, has had nothing but trouble.
