Wings’ Holmstrom cleared to play in Game 4
Red Wings forward Tomas Holmstrom has been cleared to play in Wednesday’s Game 4 of the playoff series against the Sharks.
Holmstrom, who suffered a left eye injury in Game 6 of the Calgary series, missed the first two games of the Sharks series in Detroit. He will sit out Monday’s Game 3, as well.
He was cleared by doctors in Detroit on Monday and planned to fly to San Jose with Wings owners Mike and Marian Ilitch.
