When someone asked defenseman Mathieu Schneider whether the Red Wings would benefit by having an enforcer, Schneider went political.
“We’ve had success without one in the past, but they’re kind of like nuclear weapons,” Schneider said. “If the other team has one, you want to have one. If they have two, you want two. But, that’s out of my hands.”
Whether the Wings need one, an enforcer, that is, is the growing question.
