Count Kenny Rogers among the players dead-set against instant replay in baseball.
The Tigers left-hander was adamant that technology does not belong in the game, and that it’s an insult to umpires.
Major League Baseball announced Tuesday it will begin instant replay review with Thursday’s games, but only for home run calls.
“I’m against it for a lot of reasons, mainly that it’s a slap in the face of umpires who have been here a long time and done a very good job with difficult situations in all aspects of the game,” Rogers said before Tuesday’s game against Cleveland.
