Pistons exec Perry a candidate for Sonics GM job

While Sonics vice chairman Lenny Wilkens has not revealed any potential candidates for the coaching or general manager positions, some interesting candidates are beginning to surface.

Wilkens said this week the process of contacting qualified parties has begun and one of those could be Detroit Pistons director of player personnel Scott Perry, who has held that role since 2002.

Perry, 43, played one season at Oregon before transferring to Wayne State. He coached at Eastern Kentucky and before that was an assistant at Michigan, California and Detroit-Mercy.
