Curtis Rowe, a former Pistons first-round draft pick and All-Star forward, was arrested Wednesday evening in a drug raid in a building on the citys west side, police said Thursday.
Rowe, 58, was arrested in a building on the 1000 block of Lee Place about 5:25 p.m., Detroit police spokeswoman Yvette Walker said.
An informant told police he bought drugs at that location, and officers secured a search warrant, Walker said. Officers found Rowe in the building with a baggie of a substance believed to be heroin on his person, Walker said.
She was unsure of the exact amount of the drug.
Rowe still was in police custody mid-afternoon Thursday, and officials expect to arraign him today, Walker said.
