Michigan State used its power play to get back to a familiar place — the Great Lakes Invitational championship game.

The 14th-ranked Spartans scored three times on the power play and beat Harvard, 5-2, in the first GLI semifinal Friday evening at Joe Louis Arena, advancing to their ninth GLI title game in the past 10 years. MSU (10-7-1) will face Michigan, which defeated Michigan Tech, 4-1.
