Five Michigan State players will not play in the Champs Sports Bowl on Friday in Orlando because of academic ineligibility or a violation of team rules.
MSU announced Monday that defensive end Jonal Saint-Dic, receiver Terry Love, receiver/cornerback T.J. Williams and offensive guard Abre Leggins were academically ineligible under NCAA requirements for bowl games, and linebacker SirDarean Adams is out for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Saint-Dic, Love and Adams were in their final year of eligibility, meaning their Spartan careers are over. Williams is a sophomore. Leggins, an Orlando native, is a redshirt freshman who has not played this season.
