MSU assistant Boylen to be named Utah head coach

Michigan State assistant coach Jim Boylen will be named the head coach at the University of Utah.

An official announcement should come later Monday, but the press conference in Salt Lake City might not take place until Tuesday.

Boylen, a native of East Grand Rapids, spent two seasons at MSU after 13 years in the NBA. He is the seventh assistant under Tom Izzo to become a head coach in Izzo’s 12 years.
