Linebacker Jerod Mayo of Tennessee was at the Lions’ headquarters as scheduled today to visit the coaching staff in preparation for next month’s draft.
Mayo started for the Volunteers at outside linebacker in 2006 and moved to middle linebacker in ‘07. The Lions are looking for help at linebacker in the draft. The Lions have the 15th pick on the first round of the draft, April 26-27.
Mayo started all 14 games in 2007 and had 140 tackles, tying for the most by a Tennessee player since 1990.
