Coach Rod Marinelli met with owner William Clay Ford on Monday as he often does the day after a game. But Marinelli said they did not talk about his future, despite the Lion’ miserable 0-4 start, and Ford did not ask or order him to play any particular player.

Asked if he got the feeling Ford still believed in him, Marinelli indicated he thought so but said: “I never try to read nothing into anything. I just go in and explain where we’re at and what we’re trying to do.”
