Lions sign linebacker Fincher

The Lions signed free-agent linebacker Alfred Fincher on Thursday. Contract terms were not announced.
Fincher is the second free-agent linebacker signed by the Lions this week. Previously, they signed Gilbert Gardner , who was with Tennessee last season after three seasons with the Colts. Gardner started 12 games for the 2006 Super Bowl champs.
Fincher was drafted by the Saints in the third round out of Connecticut in 2005. He played 27 games for the Saints in three seasons. He was put on injured reserve after sustaining a concussion in the seventh game of last season.
