Flight problems made Williams late for workout
Lions receiver Roy Williams was at the team’s training facility Wednesday, a team official confirmed, but didn’t participate in a voluntary workout.
The Lions said Williams had a problem with a connecting flight from Houston and couldn’t get to Allen Park on time Wednesday morning.
Coach Rod Marinelli wasn’t happy when he was asked about Williams after practice.
First, Marinelli said Williams “wasn’t here.” But then, when a reporter claimed to have seen Williams stretching, Marinelli suggested that the media find him.
