Charron Fisher scored 23 points and Lorenzo Miles had 19 points and 10 rebounds in Niagara’s 80-73 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday.
Suburban Detroit native Clif Brown added 18 points and Stanley Hodge had nine assists off the bench for the Purple Eagles (4-6), who won their third straight.
There were eight ties and 18 lead changes before Fisher put Niagara ahead to stay, 46-45, with a dunk with 12:58 left to play. The visitors twice extended their lead to 12 points but the Chippewas (4-7) stayed close, moving to within 76-73 on a 3-pointer by freshman Jordan Bitzer with 25 seconds remaining.
