Tigers trade Doug Fister to Washington Nationals

The Detroit Tigers have traded right-hander Doug Fister to the Washington Nationals, according to multiple reports on Twitter.

Chris Cotillo of @MLBDailyDish appears to be the first to have reported the news. Ken Rosenthal of Foxsports.com was quick to confirm. Both cited an unnamed source and neither reported which other players were involved in the trade.

Jim Bowden of ESPN reported that the Nationals sent infielder/outfielder Steve Lombardozzi, relief pitcher Ian Krol and a minor leaguer to the Tigers in return for Fister. (MLive.com)
