Lions’ Stefan Logan loses job as return man against Bears
“I wont be doing it this Sunday,” Logan said Thursday. “I’m mad, but at the same time there’s nothing I could do about that. That’s the coach’s decision. I blame myself.”
Logan had two mental errors in the Lions loss to Atlanta Saturday night. The first — and more understandable of the two — came on a third-quarter punt return in which officials ruled Logan called for a fair catch even though he was trying to wave his teammates away from the ball.
The second error, though, was inexcusable. After the Lions scored a safety in the fourth quarter, Logan fielded the free kick at the Detroit 4 and took a knee. The game was likely over with the Lions trailing 31-18 with 1:21 remaining, but Logan ended any comeback hopes. (The Detroit News)
