Matthew Stafford named Lions’ starting QB
The Detroit Lions named rookie Matthew Stafford to the starting quarterback position today and coach Jim Schwartz stressed that it’s not a game-by-game appointment.
“This isn’t an internship or an experiment,” Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said.
…Schwartz said Stafford won’t have to look over his shoulder every time he makes a mistake or throws an interception.
